It's light enough to forget you're wearing it, and the two-way SPORT headband adjusts with a simple rotary dial so it sits securely through a long run rather than bouncing with every stride.

Underneath the headband sit two LEDs, a Luminus SST25 for crisp white output and an SST20 warm white for softer light on the trail, plus dedicated red LEDs for constant and SOS modes that preserve night vision and signal in an emergency. At full power the HL18R-T V2.0 throws 800 lumens out to 125 metres, and at 103g including battery and headband it's one of the lighter options in its class. It runs on Fenix's ARB-LP1900 rechargeable battery pack (included) or three AAA batteries as backup, recharging via USB-C in around three hours and stretching to 160 hours on its lowest setting. It's rated IP66 against dust and heavy rain and built to survive a one metre drop.
